As a junior, Basil started at right offensive tackle and defensive end. He finished the season with 27 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, eight sacks, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
Basil has been timed at 4.88 in the 40-yard dash and 4.49 in the short shuttle. He also claims a 27-inch vertical leap and an 8-foot-2 broad jump. With his frame, he could end up playing a number of positions at the collegiate level.
He carries a 3.7 core GPA, achieved 2nd honors as a junior and scored a 1570 on his SAT.
