Five-star receiver Robert Foster of Central Valley High (Monaca, Pa.) will decide between Pittsburgh and Alabama and announce as a ceremony at his school Friday.

Central Valley High (Monaca, Pa.) five-star receiver Robert Foster, the top uncommitted player in the state Robert Foster, is ready to end that distinction.

The 6-foot-2, 185-pound Foster will announce his intention to attend either Alabama or Pittsburgh during a ceremony at his school Friday. The festivities are set to begin at 2:30 p.m.

"He went through the whole process diligently as far as visiting and seeing different colleges and getting it down to this point," Central Valley coach Mark Lyons said. "He felt comfortable that those were the two places, with the relationships he built with the recruiters, and after seeing both campuses several times on official visits and unofficial visits, he could go.

"Up until this point, he hasn't really leaned one way or the other."

Foster is coming off a senior season in which he caught 45 passes for 763 yards and eight touchdowns, and also carried 57 times for 481 yards and 12 touchdowns. He is being recruited as a receiver, but also made 67 tackles and intercepted four passes playing in the secondary.

"In this day and age, everybody's about combines, 7-on-7 tournaments and these special little camps," Lyons said. "He does what he needs to do on the field. He'll look good in shorts running around, but so do a lot of kids When he puts the pads on, he's every bit as fast as everyone else."

Lyons said Alabama and Pittsburgh are both good fits for Foster.

"As coaches, we want to make sure what's right for your players," Lyons said. "After talking to both staffs, he'll get the support he needs both academically and athletically, and as a young man."
